Description Mit dieser Schwanenfeder unterzeichnete Kaiser Wilhelm II. am 12. November 1906 eine Schenkungsurkunde. Das Original dieser Urkunde liegt im Grundstein des Museumsbaus, der sich immer noch unter der Eingangshalle des Museums befindet. An diesem Tag eröffnete der Kaiser auch die Provisorische Ausstellung des Deutschen Museums im Gebäude des Alten Nationalmuseums.

1906 wurden eigentlich längst nur noch maschinell gefertigte Stahlfedern zum Schreiben benutzt, doch bei diesem besonderen Anlass galt es als angemessen, die edlere und teurere Schwanenfeder zu benutzen.
